Cancun yacht rental FAQ

A four-hour private charter starts at $600 USD for the whole boat, captain and crew included, and goes up to $3,600 USD for the largest boats with a published rate. Two hours starts at $300 USD, six hours at $1,100 USD. A $14 USD per person dock fee is paid separately at the marina. Full price list by boat.

For the whole boat. You rent the vessel, not a seat. The only per-person charge is the $14 USD dock fee.

$14 USD per person, paid at the marina on the day. It is a port charge that we neither set nor collect, so it is never folded into the charter price.

In US dollars, cash or card. On the boats that need no deposit you pay on the day of departure.

Not on most of our boats. Some need a deposit or a confirmation of attendance to hold the date, and the boat page states which applies before you book.

Gratuity is not included. 10 to 15% is customary and goes directly to the captain and crew.

Because their cost moves with the season and with availability. Publishing a fixed number would mean quoting a price we would have to change. Ask for your date and you get the real figure the same day.

The whole boat for the hours you book, the captain and crew, bottled water and ice. Everything the vessel itself carries is listed on its page: cabins, bathrooms, air conditioning, sound system, snorkelling gear where fitted.

Not by default. Food, alcohol and soft drinks are not included as standard with us. We sell catering, bar service, photography, jet ski rental and ground transport as extras, quoted with the charter. What all-inclusive actually means here.

Ask us when you book and we will tell you what applies to your boat. We also arrange catering and bar service ourselves if you prefer not to carry anything.

Yes, all three, plus jet ski rental and ground transport. We run those ourselves rather than handing you to a third party, and they are quoted together with the charter.

The standard run is north to Isla Mujeres: about 40 minutes across the channel, anchoring off Playa Norte to swim, with a stop at the reef for snorkelling. Your captain sets the route on the day around the weather and what the group wants.

Four hours is the standard Isla Mujeres trip and what most groups take. Six or eight hours give a longer stay at the island or a sunset return. Two hours works for a short bay cruise.

It depends on the boat, because size and draft decide where each vessel is berthed. Most of our fleet leaves from Marina Sunset Lagoon or Marina Puesta del Sol in the Hotel Zone; others from Puerto Cancun, Marina Aquatours, Marina Margarita, Marina Nautilus, Playa Las Perlas, Hacienda del Mar, Marina Fish Fritanga, V&V Marina, Marina Flamingos in Puerto Juarez, or Costa Mujeres. Your confirmation names the exact marina and address.

Check in 30 minutes before your departure time, on every boat in the fleet.

Our boats carry from 6 to 30 guests. Each boat page lists its own maximum, which is what the vessel is licensed to carry. Children count as guests.

Yes. Families are welcome on every boat in the fleet. Tell us the ages of the group when you book and we carry life jackets in children sizes.

Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people book. Tell us the group size and the occasion and we will point you to the boats that fit, and quote catering, bar and photography if you want them.

Yes, at no cost up to 24 hours before departure. Inside 24 hours, any deposit paid is forfeited. Boats that required no deposit carry no cancellation charge.

If the captain or the port authority decides it is not safe to sail, your charter is rescheduled to another date that works for you. The decision is made on the day and you do not absorb it.

We may substitute an equivalent vessel of the same model and capacity, and you are told before departure.

As early as you can for Christmas, New Year, spring break and Easter, which are the busiest weeks in Cancun. Weekends fill before weekdays.
